The 2020 legislative session is here! Homes for All is very excited to present our largest bonding request yet: $500 million in investments along Minnesota's housing continuum. We're going big so we can all go home!

To start the session off strong, Homes for All invites you to join us in a week of action starting Monday, Feburary 17th. Here's what's happening:

Monday, 2/17:

Watch the Homes for All Facebook page for a video from one of our co-chairs, Allison, on what to expect as we kick off our week of action. Then post a picture below and tell us having a quality and safe home means to you, using #Homes4AllMN.

Tuesday, 2/18:

  • From 11 am to noon, keep the momentum going by joining Homes for All in a Twitterstorm!  We'll take to Twitter for the hour to get our #Bonds4Housing conversation trending! Homes for All will have prepared tweets or you can craft your own, but be sure to include the hashtags #Bonds4Housing, #mnleg and #Homes4AllMN. Together we'll bring energy and attention to the need for safe, affordable housing for everyone!  FInd out more here.
  • From 4 to 6 pm, the last of our three Legislative Kick-Off events will be taking place at Catholic Charities Saint Paul Opportunity Center and Dorothy Day Residence (422 Dorothy Day Pl, St. Paul, MN 55102). Space is limited, but if you are registered for this event, we hope to see you there! If you missed the registration window, we will also livestream the kick-off on our Facebook page. More information is here.

Wednesday, 2/19:

From 8:00 am - 9:30 am, join us for a hearing in Room 200 of the State Office Building. Let's pack the room for bonding! We also will be delivering postcards to some lawmakers from the kick-off events. The postcards are available for download here, so feel free to write your own!

Thursday, 2/20:

We will have an action alert about bonding ready for you to email or call your lawmaker. Stay tuned!

Friday, 2/21:

We'll round out our busy week just as we started, with a video blog showing clips and photos from all of our Legislative Kick-Off events. And if you missed any of the actions from earlier this week, there's still time to send an email, write a postcard to your lawmakers, or post on social media about why it's so important for us to go bold for bonding in 2020. Then it's on to the rest of session!
